This picture doesn't do the moment justice...but at 2 weeks old, we had a little photo shoot of Benjamin...mostly naked...and after maybe two shots Benjamin exploded on Bryan's arm. And for those that know Bryan...he's slightly a neat freak and doesn't like to be dirty. So being covered in liquid poop was almost more than Bryan could handle. And obviously, by my expression, I couldn't stop laughing! Bryan was such a sport and kept holding him and let us get some great shots! I love being a mom!!

Long overdue update
I am extremely thankful to have Benjamin safely here. I must admit, I hated almost every second of being pregnant (I'm not very good at it), but I have loved almost every second of being a mom! Bryan and I are truly blessed to have this little guy in our lives! He has the sweetest personality...very mild mannered...he gets this from his Dad.
So in the last 3 1/2 weeks (I can't believe it's already been 3 1/2 weeks) we have loved watching him grow. I'm already sad about how fast time is going by. We had a bit of my family in town for the holiday. Benjamin was able to meet his Grandma, Papa, Aunt Liz, Aunt Maggie, and cousins Megan and Brittany. We are anxious for Christmas to come and we fly to Texas for my reunion and everyone else to meet him.

Craft Time!!
For our friday night "date night" Bryan and I decided to make a blanket for Benjamin. I know I've said this before...but this just proves...my husband is incredible! How many guys are excited to make a blanket for their baby?? He was so cute and wanted to make sure it was as perfect as could be...that's the perfectionist in him. I on the other hand didn't really care as long as all the pieces got tied. I love the difference in us!
I had more fun just watching him and taking pictures...while he did most of the work!

35 weeks...and almost done with work.
My favorite thing about being 35 weeks pregnant is I've pretty much stopped sleeping. Baby is extremely active at night and sleep just doesn't happen so much. Not only is that fun...but baby sits really low...like where it hurts to walk...and it's easy to tell I'm NOT totally comfortable anymore...and yet people still ask me how I am. Why do people ask stupid questions? Do I look like I'm ok. Just pat me on the back and remind me that this whole experience will be over soon and don't make me try to pretend and smile...I'm not that good at it!
Anyways...on a much happier note, I only have 2 more weeks of work (and only part time) and then I will joyfully leave the worldly workforce to work as a mom! I am so excited for that phase of my life to begin! I have loved working...and all the things I have experienced! And I am excited it's over. Thanks for making the big bucks honey and providing a way for me to stay home!!
This is a picture of me at the beginning of my 35th week.

5 more weeks...
If we deliver according to when our ultra sound says we will...which I've been told is the most accurate...we are 5 weeks away!!! I would love for baby to come in 5 weeks!! I have one more week of full time work, and then I have 2 weeks of part time...and then I'm done...FOREVER!!!! I am thankful for the last 8+ years and working full-time, but I'm really, really, REALLY ready to be a stay at home mom.
Tonight is my baby shower with Bryan's family. They are so sweet and thoughtful.

Itty Bitty Baby Stuff
So, we haven't done a ton of things to prepare for itty bitty baby...we bought the pack-n-play...and then we got the crib unexpectantly (and we still haven't bought a mattress or sheets for it) and we have tons of baby clothes (thanks to my wonderful sister Cathy and passing down all her cute baby clothes) and that's about where our preparation ends. Bryan's mom has bought us our car seat and stroller...and they are both in her basement...we need to bring those home one day...and we're still debating if we want to take a labor and delivery class (I really don't want to...Bryan doesn't care). And that's where our preparation has ended.
Bryan is working at a Chase inside of an Albertsons (for about one more week) until it closes. And yesterday they had everything in the store 50% off...so he went down the baby aisle and found a few things that were actually a good deal...like bottles, diapers, and wipes. I opened one of the packages of newborn diapers and couldn't believe how tiny they were. It actually made me really excited for itty bitty baby to come! This whole pregnancy thing has been less than wonderful and few things have gotten me really excited about it...except that simple fact that it will end! So I am thankful for things like itty bitty baby diapers and how they made me smile!

Married FHE
So...when we first got married my cute friend Becca Jo gave us a book with ideas for Couple's FHE...and throughout the year we've tried to do some of them. But last night was by far my favorite. It was Bryan's turn to pick something out to do and I was a little surprised with his choice. The book listed 12 questions that each person would write down their response to and then after you answered all the questions you went back and shared your response. The questions where things like, "I feel loved when you..." or "You help me feel close to Heavenly Father when you..." or "I feel special when you...". After we wrote down our answers to all the questions, we went back and tried to guess what the other one wrote down...I think that was part of what made this so fun! It turned into a really sweet moment and just made me remember, even more than normal, how wonderful a man I had married! Marriage really has been the coolest experience! I sometimes worried that I had waited so long for something that would just be kinda ok. But that worry has been put to rest and I can honestly say marriage was worth every second of the wait! It is amazing!!
After our sweet moment we decided it was time to challenge each other in a little friendly wii competition! It made us laugh to play tennis, bowling, and boxing! I killed Bryan in the boxing and bowling...but he dominated the tennis! I just have so much fun with Bryan and I love being his wife! Can't wait to have a little kid to play with us and add to our fun!
